Classic USA Network broadcasts:
There was actually a time when USA Network didn't completely suck. If you look back at USA's programming from the network's early days, throughout the 90's, you'll notice that it was the most diverse cable network in television history. Today, USA Network is a complete shadow of it's former self. The network was taken over by NBC Universal, who, of course (infinite wisdom & all), wasted no time in completely stripping the network of it's unique & original identity. The end result is the death of "America's Favorite Cable Network!". We now have a network today with absolutely nothing left to distinguish itself from all the other cable networks in existence.
This collection of classic USA broadcasts is provided to other fans of the old network to enjoy something that we sadly will never see again.
NOTE: Of all the broadcasts in USA Network's earlier days, my most sought after is an airing of Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. This holds special significance to me, because it was the first Friday the 13th movie I watched in it's entirety (I was 9 years old at the time) & the movie which introduced me to USA Network's Up All Night with Rhonda Shear. I've been hooked on both series ever since.
I've heard conflicting rumors about USA's version of Friday the 13th: A New Beginning. Ranging anywhere from rumors that it had alternate footage not seen in any other TV print in existence, to others claiming USA aired the film uncut! (Minus the nudity & swearing of course). I was 9 years old when I first watched this, so unfortunately, I can't remember what story is really true.
If anyone has a USA Network airing of Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning, PLEASE CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY!! I'll even accept the poorest of quality & partial segments as well! I'll offer two for one for anyone who can find this for me. I also have extremely rare stuff reserved for this title only (Contact me for details) cory86scout@yahoo.com
